My allegiance is to my client with their best interest in mind. If a real-estate agent  refers us, it is because they also share the same ethics as I do and have their clients best interest in mind.

State-Of-The-Art Equipment -

The tools of the trade will very among inspectors. There are quality tools and tools that don't cost as much.

Here is an example: There is an electrical tester that most inspectors use to test the outlets for proper wiring. The cost of the tool is about $10.00. It is a handy tool and I have used this tool even in my own business.

However, when I discovered that this tool can easily be fooled I purchased a $300.00 circuit tester. This tester is somewhat like what the auto mechanics use to diagnose engines. This tester is difficult to fool. The big difference between these 2 devices is not only the price but that it detects False Grounds. False Grounds are illegal because of their potent safety hazards. Check this picture and see for yourself.

The picture on the left is an improperly wired outlet. You can see the false ground. It is the single wire that both ends are connected to the outlet.

The Picture on the right show my device showing a false ground. The red tool indicates the outlet is wired correctly. The inspectors using this tool would not be able to report a major safety defect. Which inspector do you want? The one with the quality tools or the inspector that cuts corners?
